How to Draw Bubble Letter B
Every capital B is one vertical stem plus two bumps. The entire drawing lives or dies on bump symmetry — draw the stem first, then build each lobe as its own balloon.
Plant the stem
Draw a tall, straight vertical line with a pencil. This spine carries the whole letter, so keep it confident and upright — a wobbly stem guarantees a wobbly B.
Balloon the top bump
Starting at the top of the stem, draw a rounded bump that bulges to the right and rejoins the stem at its midpoint. Picture half of a plump balloon pressed against a wall.
Mirror the bottom bump
From the midpoint, draw a second bump down to the base of the stem. Make it the same size as the top one — or a hair larger, which reads as stable and friendly.
Thicken everything
Go back over the pencil lines with a puffy outline, keeping the two white pockets inside the bumps open and roughly equal. Erase the original skeleton lines.
Check the silhouette
Squint at the letter. Both bumps should read as siblings, not strangers. If one lobe dominates, redraw just that bump before inking the final version.
Common mistake
The lopsided lobes
Almost every beginner draws the top bump big and the bottom bump small, or vice versa. Compare the two lobes side by side before you commit with marker — in bubble style, uneven bumps are the first thing the eye catches.

Lowercase
Lowercase Bubble Letter b
Lowercase b is refreshingly simple: a tall stem with a single round belly on the lower right. It is the mirror twin of lowercase d, which makes the pair a great teaching duo.
Draw the tall stem
Make a straight vertical line that rises well above the x-height — the stem is what distinguishes b from its shorter cousins.
Attach the belly
At the bottom of the stem, add one round bump bulging to the right, like a half-balloon. Keep the white pocket inside it open and circular.
Round the joins
Soften where the belly meets the stem so the whole letter looks inflated from a single breath, then erase your guidelines.
